On a glittering evening in Dar es Salaam on June 28, 2025, ZARA Tanzania Adventures once again took the centre stage at the prestigious World Travel Awards Africa and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony, earning the title of Africa’s Leading Adventure Tour Operator 2025.
The red-carpet event, held at the luxurious Johari Rotana Hotel, brought together the most influential names in African and Indian Ocean tourism.
At the heart of the celebration stood Mrs Zainab Ansell, affectionately known as Mama Zara, the visionary founder and CEO of ZARA Tanzania Adventures.
Receiving the award, she paid tribute to the hardworking individuals and communities that have shaped the company’s success.
