‘Stooping’ – A Longtime NYC Tradition to Salvage and Save

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. New York City has taken this saying to a whole new level with its tradition of “stooping.” When people throw out furniture or other items they no longer need on the city’s sidewalks, others see an opportunity.  Some of what is salvaged can be surprising as Nina Vishneva tells us in this story narrated by Anna Rice.
